I love this drink. I drink it because it taste great. I don’t drink it a lot. Maybe 2 cans a week. Not a lot at all. Right? Anyway….
I have heard many mixed reviews about this drink. People say to drink this before a test because it helps you concentrate. Then i hear people say don’t do that because it makes you hyper.
Then i hear to take it before you work out. Then i hear DO NOT do that.
People say this is not a energy drink. So what is it?
So I’m pretty confused about this drink. I guess my question is… What are the benefits of drinking Red Bull?

Red Bull will keep you up. If tiredness is not a problem don’t drink it.
DO NOT DRINK BEFORE GYM
A co-worker of mine started having Heart complications from the stuff and was told to stop drinking it.
It is an energy drink. So if you already drink it, try it before a class and see if it should be a part of a test day routine. Do not wait for a test day to experiment.

Hi from France
Red Bull is a little energetic, that’s all and like ALL other sodas well, it is unhealthy… The only better drink for our body is water .. Sorry
Have a nice day,
Cat.

Yeah it’s a energy drink. It’s got about 4 cups of coffee worth of Caffeine in it. So yeah it will pump you up but then you will feel more tired after wards because it pushed your body to it’s limits and then you come down off it and get tired and can get headaches.
I drink it if i’m hitting the town to give me a buzz but that’s all. Otherwise don’tt drink it as a social drink. Bad news that stuff.

This question comes up a lot. DO NOT DRINK this if you are going to do any exercise. You could have an arrythmia which is an abnormal heartbeat. In other words people have died from drinking this drink! Why not drink something else and not expose yourself to this danger? Even 1 can for the wrong person can be dangerous. It ups your blood pressure and that’s not good. It is most certainly an energy drink loaded with sugar and caffeine. Please try something other than food or drink to energize yourself. You’ll thank yourself for it later because anything you do to your body now will show up later. Good Luck.

Red Bull is just an energy drink. It gives you instant energy because it contains supplements like sucrose and glucose in them.

Hi.
The worse thing ever invented is heavily caffeinated drinks like Red Bull, Mother, etc – all they do is make you hyper.
Try cutting down on caffeine after drinking for a long period of time and you see just how addictive it is.
I was a heavy coffee drinker and had to change briefly to decaffeinated as I was taking a medication that reacted to caffeine (yes..reacted to caffeine) and I got the most excruitating headache for a couple of days which was a result of withdrawal from caffeine.
This is why I think young kids should not drink this stuff.

Think of red bull (or any energy drink) as being like coffee. Coffee isn’t something you’d drink before you work out, because it dries you out and when you sweat you will start to feel very, very thirsty. You MAY want to drink coffee before a test to help you concentrate, but only if you are very tired.
Just treat it like coffee. It has the same effect on your system – it contains stimulants which make you feel awake and alert. However, for physical things like working out, it will cause overexertion and dehydration.
The best thing would probably be, don’t drink it, or don’t drink it often. But if you like it of course you can drink it in moderation like you are already doing. I would not drink it for a test unless you are SO tired you feel like you will fall asleep. It will prevent you from falling asleep so that may help. And it is never useful to take stimulants before working out.

Benefits? Sugar, absurd amount of caffeine, great way to part with your money.
Gatorade is still the drink of choice for athletes (some of the most active people in society) — you don’t see them switching to these energy drinks (maybe to hawk, but not to drink), that should tell you something.
BTW, take a peppermint before taking a test, as peppermint actually does help clear the mind.
