Is drinking an energy drink like 20 mintues before you workout bad? I am not trying to lose wait, I’m trying to gain weight and get muscle.
Or should I wait after I workout to drink it? It’s a full thortle.
Okay, but that doesn’t answer my question.

Energy drinks are sugar. Get a protein shake instead for before and after you work you.

energy drinks are bad for you overall. they’re not good for your heart either your body. drink plenty of water instead. and eat foods high in protein.

full throttle is yuck. there are some energy drinks out there that are better for you and even taste better (without sugar) but I personally don’t think caffeine intake is a good thing.
drinking it after or the fact that you asked that demonstrates how naive you are.. especially since it’s a full throttle you’re asking about lol..
protein definitely.. it is essential and will also give you more energy in the long run while caffeine will invariably suck your energy and make you more prone to lethargy later. you need protein to gain healthy muscle. and carbs too.
why you would drink it after you work out, I have no clue.. working out will also give you more energy naturally so well it is just a silly query hun.. there are lots of workout forums and books out there.. I’m sorry but I think I’m scared to see what it’s like when you’re actually working out lol… please educate yourself some more
a lot of people on bodybuilding forums may be keen on caffeine but don’t just take their word for it.. it may have some positive effects but it truly has negative ones as well and isn’t necessary. the main thing in energy drinks that’s good for you is the amino acids, which are what protein is.. there are pre and post workout drinks that might interest you too, but really not that necessary I don’t think.. there’s always gonna be something to vacillate your muscles more and make your pump harder or wtfever but what’s important is how well you perform your exercises, your breathing, and protein and carbohydrate intake along with lots of water.
