I know a few people that every time after they drink an energy drink, they get really depressed and want to die. Other than this, they have no signs of depression or suicidal thoughts. What in energy drinks causes this?

There’s nothing in it for that too happen. Maybe these people get so excited and hyper, they bother everyone and then someone curses them out and they become depressed.

Thee energy drinks are filled with stimulants, whether they be excessive sugar, caffeine or other stimulants. This is where the energy comes from. Once those stimulants wear off, the person is left with a “crash”. They are suddenly more tired than before the drink and no longer feeling the giddy “I can take on the world” feeling. It’s a physical let down and may feel like depression.
I’ve never heard of anyone wanting to die because of an energy drink crash, however. This is serious and you should get together with your friends and look at the contents. Try to convince them to stop drinking them at the least, for heavens sake. Why would they continue to drink this stuff when it has that affect?
Most of these drinks are still not regulated by the FDA and could very well contain something that we’ll be hearing about on a mass class action law suite in future after the FDA removes it from the market…just like so many diet pills.
